Discover Yellowknife’s creative and contemporary side on a guided introduction to local art, northern products, galleries, shops, makers, mining-related attractions, souvenirs, and everyday local life.

This approximately 2.5-hour experience is designed for visitors who want help finding memorable Yellowknife and northern souvenirs. It complements—rather than duplicates—the Yellowknife City Sightseeing Tour. While the city tour focuses on landmarks, history, neighbourhoods, geography, scenic viewpoints, Old Town, downtown, Great Slave Lake, the Bush Pilots Monument, government and capital-city landmarks, mining-city history, and general city orientation, this tour focuses on galleries, makers, northern products, local businesses, shopping, indoor attractions, and contemporary Yellowknife life.

A curated selection of stops may include the Hidden Gem mining museum, Wildlife Gallery, Tastes of the North, Old Town Glassworks, The Quilted Raven, The Gallery on 47th Street, Down to Earth Gallery, Gallery of the Midnight Sun, Aurora Emporium Art Gallery, and Mahsi Cho. Not every location operates on every departure. The route and stops are selected according to opening hours, timing, availability, local events, and operating conditions.

NWT Charter Services covers admission fees for designated included attractions. Guests are responsible for all personal purchases, including souvenirs, artwork, food, drinks, tastings, workshops, and other optional purchases.

Time at each stop is limited because the goal is to introduce guests to several Yellowknife businesses and attractions within the tour. This is an introductory shopping and discovery experience rather than an extended visit to any single location.

This is not an Indigenous cultural interpretation tour. NWT Charter Services does not teach or interpret Indigenous traditions, teachings, ceremonies, traditional knowledge, or Indigenous culture. Where Indigenous-made art or products are available, guests are encouraged to learn directly from the artists, makers, businesses, or cultural organizations presenting the work.
